Whether your just stopping by for a few hours or maybe you've got a full weekend in the historic downtown area, either way theres plenty of fun ways to stay in shape. Find your favorite type of workout below and see what I've paired it with for a fun equivalent activity you can do downtown.

Treadmill
Don't worry this is easy, just walk around the town, theres plenty of shops to peak in, walk ways to wander and forts to explore. If your and avid runner and staying downtown for a while go for a run, heading away from the main shops and loose yourself in the beautiful architecture that can be found in the homes on the outskirts of the city.
Full Body Workout
Give sailing try! Take a look around you, downtown you are almost completely surrounded by water. Take to the sea and have a good at some sailing lessons. Sailing works just about every muscle in your body, core, legs, arms, trust me , you'll feel the burn.
HIIT
This one is easy, you can do HIIT almost anywhere, I recommend heading to the battlefield, no literally go to the fort and do some sprints up and down the field. Or click here for a fun 20 minute HIIT session I like to do on vacation, P.S. Large area not needed.
Rowing Machine/ Anything Cardio
Go for a swim, your in Florida, theres normally beautiful weather so get your butt in the water. Plus if your staying in a hotel downtown, most places have a pool, they may even have some water aerobics classes.
Fitness Events
I was staying in Jacksonville for Thanksgiving, which is about 30 minutes outside of St.Augustine, on Thanksgiving they had a 5K turkey trot! It was a great way to get a workout out in before enjoying a Thanksgiving Feast. This brings me to my travel tip: When going on vacation somewhere look up local races or fun fitness offerings like color runs or local studios that offer free classes!
