Healthy Eating in St. Augustine

So, I actually don't know too much about the food in St. Augustine because I was a good little healthy foodie and did my research. As I was walking around, as one typically does, I got hungry so I whipped out my digital lifesaver ( my phone) and typed in " organic restaurants near me".
And my good friend Google did not disappoint. About 10 minutes away there was a health food market with a little cafe inside. Luckily I have a very understanding boyfriend who doesn't mind taking me a little out of the way to enjoy my foodie adventures so we headed off to Diane's Natural Market and man that place was full of goodies! I had a hard time choosing what I wanted.

I decided on a organic free range chicken salad type thing with a package of flackers. If you don't know what flackers are, your missing out. They are basically a healthier gluten free version of crackers, full of healthy fats, some protein, and few carbs, a much better nutrient profile than your typical cracker. Try these, they have Rosemary or Savory... I like the Rosemary.
Other than that me and my man mostly ate with my family, who we were staying with. After all it was thanksgiving. We did go out to eat to a nice sushi place in Jacksonville. They had something called the BMW roll, Rodrigo just about died. If your don't know my boyfriend, Rodrigo, has a slight car obsession. We obviously got an order of the BMW roll.. it was delicious.
For us it was easy to stay healthy in St. Augustine and Jacksonville because I had an entire kitchen at my disposal but I also did my research. When your traveling, as mundane as it may sound, its best to plan ahead if you want to stick to your health habits.
